Lethal Halo
Process of progress
Lethal Halo is new band from Canada. The members of this band are from different countries and now they all life in Canada. By now, they made a 4 track ep and this album which they self released. Their music is a mixture of different Metal genres, but also of different folk music styles. Sometimes you can hear some Irish tunes in their music and sometimes some Turkish tunes. This is no wonder, since some of the band members are from these countries. They mix European Death Metal with Trash Metal and Progressive Metal. The folk music is only from times to times like I already said. There are 10 songs on this album. I can’t say that there is a bad song on it, since every song is very well done. All of them are between 4 and 8 minutes long and they show that this band is very professional. It’s hard to say which band influenced them the most. There are also female vocals in some of the songs, but not this kind of Opera female vocals like in Sirenia and other bands like them, nor like Arch Enemy. The male vocalist uses growls and clean vocals. Also, there are no ballads on this album. “Lost in the Labyrinth” is my favorite song on this album. I fought in the beginning that this would be a ballad because of the slower beginning, but after one minute I went in a different direction. It’s a very good song. “Infected” has some Gothic parts in it. This song shows the most how many different Metal styles this band mixes in their music. This album is very good done. I didn’t hear their ep, so I can’t say how much progress they made since then. I only hope that the next album will be as good as this one.
